How is AI impacting events?
Our new Sony Z200 with AI-enhanced autofocus
Depending on your perspective and experiences with it thus far, AI could either be the way to the future or the latest hot-button topic (or maybe both). Either way, everyone is talking about it, especially in the events space. It’s an inescapable topic of conversation at every event; how can we use this tool to build business or streamline existing tasks? How can we use this to get ahead of our competitors? And, perhaps most importantly, where do we all go from here?
Times are changing with the development of AI and, like companies in every industry, we at Inclusive Digital must change as well.
Like many production companies, we've traditionally been hesitant to rely on autofocus, given how unreliable it can be across the wide range of conditions we work in. When you're handling client-critical content, you don't want to leave anything to chance. But the latest generation of AI-enhanced autofocus has been impressive enough that we could no longer ignore it.
Our new Sony Z200’s AI-enhanced autofocus, which inherited its AI capabilities from the higher end FX line of cameras, can shoot incredible video capturing moving subjects with precise focus. This helps us to raise the standard of video that we can produce for our clients. We can capture better shots for highlights reels and better capture speakers on stage during lectures, especially for speakers who like to move around the stage as they speak. While AI cannot replace a camera operator’s understanding of how to capture a certain feeling or create a dynamic sequence of shots, we can use it as a tool in our company to help us create better video for our clients.
We have also found AI useful in producing graphics for events, animating logos and creating detailed spreadsheets. All of this helps us to better serve our clients, create better video content and deliver on client requests faster.
