How can I get good video for my event?
Director of Operations Benjamin Ridley has previously talked on how a well-planned video strategy can attract twice the amount of viewers as an in-person audience. This allows the event to have lasting effects on the audience, long past when they would have moved on or forgotten otherwise. For example, a recent conference we helped out with had 624 attendees, 357 of whom attended in-person and the rest all chose to access the event contents online, either watching the livestream or the video after the conference finished.
To capture great video, we at Inclusive Digital use an arsenal of cameras designed for different uses. For livestreaming, we often use our BirdDog PTZ cameras, which we can control from a livestreaming desk and have impressive zoom capabilities to ensure we can always capture the speakers clearly. In lectures, we use our Canon C100, Canon C200, and Sony Z190, which all give us crisp and clean video, or our brand-new Sony Z200, which features impressive AI-enhanced autofocus. We often use our Canon C300 or C70 for interviews because they are cinematic cameras, giving you that “Netflix style” feeling that viewers have come to expect and enjoy. This immediately elevates the content, something which is unachievable with the social media team’s smartphone. Each of these cameras have unique features that allow us to capture your event to be viewed remotely or for months or years to come.
Whether you want to capture your event for livestreaming to online audiences or to archive on an app or website for delegates to review later, it is key to capture good video. Modern audiences expect video to be carefully considered as part of an overall event’s plan, rather than an afterthought.
